Stick figured crayon drawings on refrigerator doors, wrenching reminders, never to be repeated. Presents wrapped under the trees never to be opened. Smiles and laughter, now only memories. Hearts with holes that can not be filled. As a parent, an American, and a human–my heart aches, and my eyes mist for the families of Newtown CT.
