Threads West,the initial novel and namesake of the six novel Threads West American Saga series fared better than I, or the publisher ever dreamed! From its multiple #1 Best Selling ranking for months, to seven National Awards including Best Western, 2011; Best Romance 2011; and Best Historical Fiction 2011 at the big New York events this May, and best seller status on Kindle, Nook, and great reception on iTunes, the book has been a delightful surprise. Needless to say I am wearing a wide smile.
Rockin SR is a terrific publisher, but small. I am a newbie author with lots to learn and ranches to run. For the rest of the series to achieve what it should, both domestically and internationally, we knew we needed assistance from a highly reputable “Big Boy” back in New York. Back in the late spring just such a happy marriage was proposed. Paperwork, however, takes a long time to circulate before it is reality, and Book Two could not proceed until the details were wrapped up. Mid Point will also lend their savvy muscle to several other Rockin’ SR titles, but according to our information, the deal was all about the Threads West Series, and I am both very pleased and very flattered. Narrow Gate Books branches have won more than 100 national awards over the last seven years including a “Best” and a “Finalist” for the Threads West covers this year through TLC Graphics. Rounding out the team with giant Mid Point Trade Books is a coup indeed, and those folks are also great people.
